Biography :

ARTURO DEL PUERTO studied acting and singing in Madrid, and improvisation at the UCB Centre in New York. His theatre credits include Streetcar Named Desire, The Open Couple, Blood Wedding, Othello, Love stories and Decameron, and the musicals En nombre de la Infanta Carlota, and La Corte del Faraon. He has appeared in Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor and Moliere’s The Bourgeois Gentleman for Cope Radio (Enrique Salaberria, producer) throughout the main stages of Spain and in the prestigious International Classical Theater Festival of Almagro under the direction of Gustavo Tambascio, with whom he worked as Assistant Director for Verdi’s La Traviatta in the Superior Conservatory of Madrid. He is also a member of the Cuban Theatre Company Mascara Laroye, directed by Giraldo Moises Cardenas. He appeared in Antena 3 TV sitcom Aqui no hay quien viva, and recently in the documentary Nueva York produced by Discovery Channel.
